We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Foreign Workforce Program Specialist to manage international workforce initiatives. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop and oversee programs that support foreign workers, ensuring their successful integration and compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about program development, with a talent for leadership and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment efforts to identify and hire qualified candidates for the H-2B visa program.
- Develop and conduct training programs and orientation sessions to ensure employees understand their roles, responsibilities, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all H-2B visa holders and related documentation.
- Monitor compliance with H-2B program regulations, including wage and hour laws, housing standards, and safety requirements.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding work conditions, housing, and transportation.
- Coordinate and schedule work shifts with area managers and foreign workforce during peak season.
- Organize cleaning schedules, weekly housing inspections, and other daily assignments for foreign employees.
- Coordinate transportation as needed, including driving employees to job sites or appointments.
- Assist the Foreign Workforce Director in addressing and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Generate and submit regular reports on program status and performance to management.
Qualifications
- Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Understanding of OSHA regulations and relevant safety standards.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams and visa holders.
- High level of accuracy in documentation and compliance monitoring.
- Ability to think critically and resolve issues efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license required for transportation coordination.
