Role Overview
The Technical Services Support Manger will be primarily responsible for supporting current and potential customers across North America, with a focus on servicing environmental engineers, contractors, and their supporting distributors. This is a remote technical services role that requires infrequent travel, strong business development skills, and deep knowledge of the construction industry. The successful candidate will combine technical fluency with consultative selling skills to assist in driving revenue growth and strengthen customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Support revenue growth by partnering with Regional Sales Managers and Inside Sellers on complex opportunities.
- Assist in managing the sales funnel for technically driven projects, including qualification, solution development, and closing.
- Participate in creation of content and be the SME liaison for marketing activities.
- Creation of core content tools used by Regional Sales Managers and channels partners to drive growth.
Customer Support & Technical Engagement
- Provide technical and application support for company products, ensuring proper utilization and handling both pre and post sale.
- Preparation and review of technical documents such as specifications, details, submittal packets, etc. to assist in moving opportunities through the sales funnel.
- Conduct virtual training courses and educational webinars to build product awareness and support growth strategies.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Deploy competitive product content to sellers to help gain share in the market.
- Perform market research and share insights with the Sales and Technical Directors and broader team for growth strategies and penetration planning purposes.
Reporting & Planning
- Document customer interactions, technical support cases, and project details in CRM.
- Provide accurate input for sales forecasts and contribute to regional growth planning.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of technical service experience in the construction market.
- Knowledge of the construction industry terminology and regulations.
- Experience with funnel management and proficiency in CRM software.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-directed, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong analytical and computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- High personal savvy with the ability to build long-term customer relationships.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Business Administration.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
