Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by managing patient care at assigned pharmacy by performing the following duties:
In addition to Pharmacy Technician duties, the following are responsibilities of the Pharmacy Support Supervisor.
Pharmacy Support Supervisor I: Pharmacy averagesPharmacy Support Supervisor II: Pharmacy averages > 1000 scripts per week
Qualifications
Education/Experience: Pharmacy Technician Board (PTCB or NHA) certification required. Washington locations must have active Pharmacy Technician Certification license with WA Department of Health at time of hire. Idaho locations must have active Certified Pharmacy Technician Registration license with ID State Board of Pharmacy at time of hire. Minimum of two years’ Pharmacy experience preferred.
Skills: Computer skills required. Ability to effectively manage a diverse staff. Excellent interpersonal and organization skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Pharmacy terminology and accurate spelling ability required. Compassion for patients required. BLS (CPR/AED) required.
Commitment to supporting a safe and respectful environment is required. Valid drivers’ license and insurance
required.
Physical Demands
Pharmacy Support Supervisors are required to stand, sit, and be mobile one-third to two-thirds of the time. They are required to use hands to finger, handle or feel over two-thirds of the time, as well as reach with hands and arms. Climbing or balancing occurs less than one-third of the time; while stooping, kneeling or crouching occurs between one-third and two-thirds of the day. Communicating by talking / hearing occurs over two-thirds of the day. Amount of time spent lifting or exerting force is about 50% for up to 10 pounds and less than one-third of the time up to 25 pounds. Rarely is there a need to lift more than 26 pounds.

Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by managing patient care at assigned pharmacy by performing the following duties:
In addition to Pharmacy Technician duties, the following are responsibilities of the Pharmacy Support Supervisor.
- Provides direct supervision of pharmacy support staff.
- Promotes positive staff relations that promote efficient patient care standards.
- Interviews and selects new candidates in coordination with site Pharmacy Manager and site CA.
- Responsible for training, orienting and mentoring of all new pharmacy support staff at designated clinic, as well as assessing and supporting on-going training as needed.
- Coordinates and/or participates in staff in-service training as directed.
- Supervises development of continuing education plans.
- Ensures that pharmacy support staff is meeting or exceeding quality goals.
- Orders pharmacy medications and supplies.
- Responsible for managing pharmacy inventory
- Performs other duties as assigned, including supporting the CHAS Health Mission and Core Values.
