Job Summary:
The Facility Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing daily maintenance and repair activities across multiple facilities. This position ensures that buildings, equipment, and systems are maintained in optimal condition to support efficient and safe operations while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations. The role requires light travel, including monthly site visits to our Willmar, Baxter, and Bemidji locations.Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily maintenance activities including cleaning, preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections and ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies and regulations.
- Serve as the main point of contact for internal departments, contractors, and vendors for all maintenance-related issues.
- Schedule and monitor regular maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other essential systems.
- Track and manage maintenance requests through a work order system and maintain accurate records of all inspections, maintenance, repairs, and service contracts.
- Assist in the development of maintenance budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Support facility projects such as renovations, equipment installations, or relocations.
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues promptly, including after hours when necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or certification in facilities management or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in facility maintenance or a similar coordination role.
- Working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and utilize various technology platforms and software tools.
- Understanding of OSHA standards and other applicable safety regulations.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and twisting.
- Occasionally lift and move product weighing up to 170 pounds

Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets Bernick’s standards.

HOURS: Full-time
- Monday-Friday: 5:00AM to 3:00PM or completion
- On-call availability to respond to maintenance emergencies as needed

Base Compensation:
$22-$30/hr.
