We are hiring Part-Time and Full-Time Subway Team Members to join our team at UNC Charlotte! We are looking for dependable, energetic individuals who enjoy working with people, providing great customer service, and being part of a team-oriented environment. This role would start training the second week in August. We open for the fall semester on August 17th!
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake bread
- Slice meats and complete light food prep
- Assemble sandwiches and meals to guest order
- Deliver friendly customer service with a positive attitude
- Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant, including:
- Trash removal
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Dish assistance
- Wiping surfaces and keeping workstations sanitary
- Rotate products and follow food safety procedures
- Practice excellent hygiene standards for guest safety
- Assist the team with daily opening and closing duties

Schedule & Hours
- Operating hours:
- Monday–Thursday: 10:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Friday: 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM
- Closed weekends
- Some team members may start as early as 7:00 AM for prep and store setup
- Latest scheduled shift start time: 11:30 AM
- Earliest scheduled shift-out time: 3:30 PM
- Latest scheduled shift-out time: 5:15 PM
- Hours may vary during holidays and around university semester breaks
- Summer operations are closed; we do our best to assist staff with temporary placements or partner accounts during this time. HR has great resources, and you will receive notice of the summer layoff with 4 weeks to plan!
Uniform & Requirements
- Company provides uniform shirts
- Employees must provide: black non-slip shoes and black pants.
- Nonslip shoes may be ordered during onboarding for payroll deduction.
- No jewelry permitted except for a plain wedding band (medical and religious jewelry needs to be covered by a burn sleeve).
Transportation & Parking Information
This position is located on the UNC Charlotte campus.
Transportation options include:
- Free CATS bus and light rail pass available through the Catspass app for university-contracted employees
- Campus parking permit available:
- Daily parking: approximately $15/day
- Annual parking permit: approximately $480, payroll deducted in 8 payments
