The Business Analyst reports to the Director of Business Analytics and will support the Business Services and Real Estate Lending teams. This position will work in a collaborative environment on an analyst team supporting the business services and lending real estate lines of business who will value the insights and recommendations you will bring. This position will problem-solve through data while thoughtfully incorporating product dynamics, marketing influences, and wide range of member impact into recommended solutions. Using rigorous analytical techniques, be able to extract and interpret complex data elements and in a refined manner communicate to inform and influence leaders across Chartway. In this role you will provide deep insights into the Business Services (small business) and real estate loan production, portfolio, risk management, pricing, and strategic development.

Responsible and Accountable for:

• Develops necessary reporting using PowerBI and SQL coding tools and provides monthly metrics to show opportunities and trends.
• Assist management in establishing or enhancing the measurement of key performance indicators via new dashboards/scorecards.
• Develop insights and help in strategy building for business services and real estate loans
• Support business line managers in ongoing initiatives from a data and analytic perspective
• Support the development and maintain action-based reporting through analysis of data that delivers decision ready results across all lending products and collection performance through business lines
• Working closely with business line managers, evaluate current market pricing and make pricing recommendations to optimize profitability while managing the credit composition of originations and portfolio
• Work closely with Data Analytics and Application Technology teams along with other organizational data experts to ensure validity and accuracy of data sources.
• Works closely with various teams on projects to obtain necessary data, and track performance. Clearly articulate findings/observations and make recommendations as appropriate.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficiency in Excel
• Demonstrated data visualization and querying (SQL) experience. Power BI experience is preferred, but similar systems with transferrable skillsets (Tableau, Looker, QlikView, Periscope, etc.) are acceptable
• Knowledge of DL4 and/or Meridian Link/Loanspq
• Self-starter who is able to be hands-on and can analyze, interpret and derive insights into business reports, analytic models, and data sources
• Ability to learn business processes at a near-native level to understand the role that analytics plays in supporting the business.
• Ability to multi-task and be detail orientated in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently

Education and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience: 0-3 years of business analysis, data visualization, and quantitative related experience
  
• Experience using Excel, SQL and/or Power BI and Tableau like software
  
• 0-3 years of experience in a financial services environment
