Executive Director Position Summary
The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for the overall success of the community, including resident satisfaction, associate engagement, sales performance, operational excellence, and financial results. This role ensures the community lives Charter’s mission daily while achieving targeted occupancy, revenue, and profitability goals.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading day-to-day community operations with accountability for results
Driving sales, marketing, and occupancy growth
Managing revenue, expenses, and budget performance
Ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations
Building and leading high-performing leadership and frontline teams
Creating a culture that reflects Charter’s mission and core values
Maintaining strong relationships with residents, families, and referral partners
Representing the community positively within the local market
Executive Director Requirements
Proven experience as an Executive Director in Assisted Living
Demonstrated success in sales leadership, occupancy growth, and financial management
Strong operational, regulatory, and compliance knowledge
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Passion for senior care and enhancing residents’ quality of life
Experience opening a new assisted living community preferred (not required)
Ability to lead with confidence, accountability, and compassion
