POSITION SUMMARY:

Are you passionate about cooking and creating meals that make a difference? We’re looking for a dedicated Assisted Living Cook to join our culinary team! In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to prepare delicious, nutritious meals for our residents, while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. If you enjoy working in a team-oriented environment and have a heart for caring for others, we’d love to have you on board!

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and Cook Meals: Prepare a variety of tasty and nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.

• Food Safety & Cleanliness: Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.

• Special Diets: Prepare special meals for residents with specific dietary needs, such as low-sodium, diabetic, vegetarian, or gluten-free options.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth meal preparation and service while supporting a positive and respectful work environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role, ideally in a healthcare or senior living setting.

• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

• Ability to follow recipes, adjust portion sizes, and prepare meals for large groups.

• Compassionate and caring attitude with a genuine desire to enhance the lives of seniors.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, organized environment.

• [Optional: Certification in food safety, culinary arts, or a related field is a plus.]
