WMS Golang Lead Developer

About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Golang Lead Developer to join our team in Las Vegas, NV. This role will lead the design, development, and support of enterprise applications with a focus on supply chain and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate brings strong Golang and JavaScript expertise, leadership experience, and a passion for solving complex technical challenges.
WMS experience is preferred, but not required. Candidates with strong Golang and JavaScript development backgrounds who are eager to learn Warehouse Management Systems will be considered.
This is a 100% onsite role in Las Vegas, NV. Local candidates or those willing to relocate are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, enhancement, and support of applications using Golang and JavaScript.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs, microservices, and enterprise applications.
- Understand and reverse engineer existing applications to support enhancements and modernization initiatives.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, QA teams, and cross-functional teams.
- Support WMS-related configurations, integrations, customizations, and workflow automation.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor development team members.
- Support testing cycles, deployments, production releases, and go-live activities.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
- Drive application performance, scalability, and reliability improvements.
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of software development experience.
- 3 years of experience in a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, or Senior Engineering role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Golang (Go) development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern application development.
- Experience building and supporting RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of databases, integrations, and software architecture principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Experience working within Agile development environments.
- Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to remain hands-on while leading technical initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Understanding of warehouse and supply chain operations, including:
- Inventory Management
- Order Processing
- Picking & Packing
- Shipping & Receiving
- Fulfillment Operations
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, retail, distribution, or manufacturing environments.
- Experience with cloud technologies and containerized deployments is a plus.
