What You'll Do
Leadership & Employee Development
- Lead and develop production employees through coaching, mentoring, training, and performance management
- Foster a culture built on safety, accountability, teamwork, and respect
- Conduct performance evaluations and support employee growth initiatives
- Communicate expectations clearly and provide timely feedback and recognition
- Promote employee engagement and support a positive work environment
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are met
- Drive productivity, quality, and waste reduction initiatives
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, engineering, and other departments to support operational success
- Monitor workflow, staffing, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency
- Address production challenges and implement effective solutions
- Support and participate in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity
- Support Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System requirements
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years of manufacturing, industrial, foundry, metal processing, or related production experience
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong ability to prioritize, delegate, and follow up on multiple responsibilities
- Proven coaching, employee development, and team-building skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to collaborate across departments and shifts
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and urgency
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Manufacturing, Metallurgy, Engineering Technology, or a related field
- 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working within Lean Manufacturing environments
- Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or related certification
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Build trust and credibility with employees at all levels
- Lead through change while maintaining employee engagement
- Balance production demands with safety and quality expectations
- Manage staffing, training, and operational priorities simultaneously
- Drive accountability while creating a positive and productive work culture
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve plant goals
