Responsibilities

• Operate the vessel safely and efficiently, adhering to all maritime regulations and safety protocols
• Manage daily boat operations, including navigation, docking, and rigging procedures
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and ensuring their safety and enjoyment
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on mechanical systems and rigging equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Oversee crew members or assistants when applicable, providing guidance and management to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain detailed logs of trips, safety inspections, and maintenance activities
• Respond promptly to emergency situations or unforeseen incidents with professionalism and calmness

Qualifications

• Valid minimum 6-pack captain’s license with appropriate maritime certifications
• Prior experience operating boats in a recreational or commercial setting
• Strong mechanical knowledge of boat systems, rigging, and safety equipment
• Background in management or leadership roles, ideally within maritime or military environments
• Knowledge of rigging techniques and maintenance procedures for various vessel components
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer engagement and safety instructions
• Ability to handle mechanical troubleshooting and perform routine repairs as needed
