What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marine Electronics Installation Technician (Outboard Technician) position at Chart House Marine Electronics and Outfitting?
* We are looking to expand our staff with an immediate opening for a Marine Electronics Installer. We specialize in the installation and service of GPS/Chartplotter, Radar, Sonar, Communication, Safety and Entertainment Systems. We also install trolling motors, outriggers, rod holders, etc.
* If you are an Outboard Tech, with experience, that is tired of turning wrenches and you like to do electrical/electronics work, you are highly encouraged to apply. We are looking to train the right candidate.
* Prior Military highly encouraged to apply.
Daily responsibilities :
- Installation and Service of Electronics Systems from leading brands Furuno, Garmin, Raymarine, Simrad, among others.
- RF and Electrical Cabling, DC Distribution, Integration etc.
- Installation of Antennas and Other Sensors
- Installation of Transducers
Qualifications:
- Must have a basic set of tools and be proficient with them.
- Must have good working knowledge of DC/AC electrical theory.
- Need to be able to lift at least 40 pounds and work on ladders.
- Strong communication & problem solving skills are necessary.
- At least 3 Years relevant work experience in equivalent fields.
- Positive Attitude, Attention to Detail and Professionalism is a must.
