Responsibilities
- Assess student needs related to emotional, behavioral, social, or family issues impacting school performance.
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students' mental health and social development.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop intervention strategies and support plans.
- Connect families with community resources such as mental health services, housing assistance, or food support.
- Develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with behavioral challenges.
- Advocate for students' rights and access to services, particularly those with disabilities or in crisis.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams, including IEP (Individualized Education Program) and 504 Plan meetings.
- Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies, trauma, or incidents of abuse or neglect.
- Master’s degree in social work from an accredited institution
- Minimum one year of experience in working with children. New graduates are welcome to apply!
- Psych experience is a plus
- Flexible schedule
- 15-20 hours per week
