Position Summary:
The Production Scheduler is responsible for translating short-term to long-term production plans into a granular-level master production schedule (MPS) aligned with near-term manufacturing requirements. This position will work with internal and external manufacturing locations to plan the production of inventory at the lowest landed
cost to the company. The Production Scheduler will coordinate and optimize production schedules to ensure efficient operations, timely delivery, and alignment with customer demand.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and capacity constraints.
Work with Manufacturing team to understand operational complexities and create a schedule to best utilize/optimize operational resources and maximize production output.
Effectively identify, communicate, and propose solutions to issues impeding the production schedule/goals to relevant stakeholders.
Coordinate with quality, manufacturing, inventory control and logistics teams to ensure material availability and on-time production.
Create, review and manage production orders in the system to support manufacturing operations.
Monitor manufacturing system transactions for accuracy and work with leaders to correct discrepancies and eliminate the fundamental cause of the problems.
Compile records such as material inventory, in process production reports, and status and location of materials.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production and supply chain processes.
Develop process documentation and recommend new tools/systems to enhance efficiency and quality in the planning area.
Track and report key manufacturing metrics and assist in efficiency improvement efforts.
Assist and/or perform in all areas as assigned.
Education/ Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or 6 years of experience in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous experience in manufacturing, scheduling production and inventory management; APICS certification in production and inventory management preferred.
Working knowledge of cGMP, OSHA, ISO, food industry, and/or manufacturing experience
Exhibits strong interpersonal and organizational skills, great attention to detail as well as excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Maintain high level of understanding of technical product and process knowledge.
Proficient in the use of continuous improvement methodologies.
Possess an advanced understanding of MRP (material requirements planning) tools and techniques.
Perform tasks requiring advanced proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and Outlook.
Knowledge in Microsoft NAV and LOOKER are beneficial, not required.
Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
Ability to communicate, build trust and influence at multiple levels of the organization.

Salary : $85,000 - $92,500
