Family Assistant for Family in the Quail Hollow Neighborhood of South Charlotte

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the Quail Hollow neighborhood of Charlotte to find a Full-Time Family Assistant for their family, which includes 2 parents and 4 children living at home (they also have 2 adult children). Care is primarily needed for two of the children, ages 12 and 15 years old. The Family Assistant would typically be needed Monday - Friday, 8/9:00 am - 5/6:00 pm, 40 hours a week.

The best Family Assistant for this family would be reliable, proactive, organized, and flexible. Mom is a stay-at-home mom. The Family Assistant would work with the parents to divide and conquer the household management tasks and keep the home running smoothly each day. The ideal candidate will be energetic, proactive in anticipating the family's needs, and comfortable working collaboratively with the parents to develop weekly and daily plans, schedules, and activities. The children enjoy school, swimming, playing, and staying active. The Family Assistant would be responsible for providing some transportation to and from school and activities as requested. As well as ensuring they are ready for the next day of school and any activities they are involved in. The family is looking for a long-term Family Assistant who will be able to assist them for years to come.

Family Assistant Responsibilities Include (Parents will help divide and conquer the day):

Children:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the children (ages 12 and 15 years old)

• Transporting children safely to and from school, sports, and activities

• Arranging and preparing snacks and meals for the children

• Developing and coordinating weekly and daily schedules, plans, and activities in collaboration with mom

• Supporting and encouraging participation in after school activities, swimming, and other sports.

Meal Prep:

• Meal prep and snack preparation as needed

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher and wiping down kitchen counters

Laundry and dry cleaning:

• Family’s laundry

• Changing and washing sheets and linens

• Manage dry cleaning

Organization, Tidying, & Rotation:

• Light tidying of common areas

• Organizing and maintaining closets, pantries, refrigerators, and linen closet

• Rotating and organizing clothing, shoes, books, and toys seasonally

• Packing and unpacking for family trips and travel

Groceries, Errands, & Deliveries:

• Grocery Shopping

• Keeping an inventory of household items that need to be restocked, ordering items as needed, and stocking household items

• Running personal errands and personal shopping

• Managing incoming packages, deliveries, and putting away grocery deliveries

Scheduling & Logistics:

• Managing family and children’s calendars and logistics

• Scheduling home vendors and home maintenance

• Scheduling medical appointments, vehicle maintenance, or other appointments.

Outdoor & Event Support:

• Maintaining outdoor spaces (e.g., ensuring the pool area is tidy)

• Ensuring that pool and hot tub maintenance is scheduled and the vendor has completed the maintenance.

• Assisting with event planning and set up.

Pets: The family has two small dogs. No duties related to the animals outside of letting them out in the yard or ensuring they have food and water.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional Family Assistant or House Management experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Must be able to swim, as the family has a pool and hot tub in the backyard

• Family Assistant should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus
