Role Description
This is an hourly, on-site role for an Asphalt Paving Operator, based in or around Charlotte, NC. The operator will be responsible for operating paving and asphalt equipment efficiently and safely. Day-to-day tasks include preparing paving surfaces, spreading and compacting asphalt, monitoring equipment for proper functioning, and performing routine maintenance. Adhering to safety standards and collaborating with team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule are key aspects of this role.
Qualifications
- Experience operating paving and asphalt equipment, including pavers, rollers, and skid steers - or willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques, surface preparation, and material handling - or willingness to learn with the team.
- Commitment to adhering to workplace safety protocols and regulations
- Ability to work with a team & communication skills for collaborating with crew members
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in outdoor environments; extreme heat and cold
- Reliable transportation
- Previous experience in sitework or construction is a plus.
