Job Title: Nurse Practitioner (Cardiology)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our growing cardiology practice in Port Charlotte, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated NP with a strong clinical background and a passion for cardiovascular care. While cardiology experience is highly preferred, we welcome candidates with a strong foundation in internal or family medicine and a desire to specialize in cardiology.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and physical exams
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests including EKGs, echocardiograms, and lab results
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
- Educate patients on heart health, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records
- Participate in follow-up care, medication management, and preventive screenings
Qualifications:
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida (required)
- Certification as an NP by AANP or ANCC (required)
- DEA license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Cardiology experience highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- EMR proficiency (experience with Intergy is a plus)
