Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Golf Cart Technician role based in Charlotte, NC. The Golf Cart Technician will inspect, diagnose, and repair gas and electric golf carts, including troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and battery-related issues. Daily work includes performing preventative maintenance, installing parts and accessories, and preparing carts for sale, rental, and delivery. The role also involves documenting work orders, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and following manufacturer specifications and dealership procedures. The technician will interact with customers and team members to provide clear updates on repair status, timelines, and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience diagnosing and repairing small vehicles, golf carts, or similar equipment.
- Basic electrical knowledge, including reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting battery, wiring, and charging systems.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance, parts installation, and accessory upgrades in line with manufacturer guidelines.
- Effective communication skills to explain repair needs, timelines, and options to customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work safely with tools and equipment, follow shop procedures, and maintain an organized work area.
- Comfort working in an on-site, hands-on environment that may require lifting, standing, and outdoor work.
- Previous experience in automotive, powersports, equipment repair, or a related technical field is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certifications are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
