Qualifications:
- At least one of the following qualifications is required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a relevant major
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university with a relevant major and two (2) years of relevant experience
- High school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of relevant experience with progressive increase in responsibility
- Minimum of two (2) years successful leadership experience
- Minimum of seven (7) years of network experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of Information Technology, Infrastructure and Operations, Industry Standards and Practices
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and other network documents
- Working knowledge of WAN, LAN, Wireless Networks, and Network Security
- Ability to work within the team concept
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or higher
- Industry certifications
*Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Effects appropriate changes to existing networks.
- Creates new networking schemes from specifications.
- Produces and changes networks accurately, effectively, and on time, in the appropriate formats.
- Effectively utilizes the latest data processing techniques and productivity tools in use by the district.
- Insures optimal network up-time for all user departments.
- Maintains documentation in compliance with standard practices.
- Assists in technically supervising and guiding and Network Technicians.
- Assists in preparing system documentation and network specifications.
- Demonstrates proficiencies in creating programs and updates to database.
- Reviews current developments, literature and technical sources of information.
- Insures adherence to safety practices.
- Follows all relevant policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Performs other job-related functions as assigned.
