This position provides administrative, financial, and Risk Management support through accounting operations, budget tracking, claims administration, and departmental coordination. This position manages financial transactions, reporting, reconciliations, procurement activities, and claims documentation while serving as a key liaison with County departments, vendors, third-party administrators, and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs financial reconciliations, monitors expenditures and revenues, and maintains accurate accounting records.
- Processes purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payment transactions.
- Assists with budget tracking, financial reporting, audits, and year-end activities.
- Supports claims administration through documentation, reporting, tracking, and coordination with internal and external partners.
- Assists with insurance renewals, compliance activities, and required documentation.
- Prepares reports, correspondence, records, and meeting materials while maintaining departmental files and databases.
- Provides responsive customer service and supports effective communication with employees, vendors, officials, and the public.

- Knowledge of departmental policies, plans, and procedures.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other job-related computer programs and software applications.
- Knowledge of modern governmental office practices, procedures, equipment, and standard clerical/administrative support techniques.
- Strong organization and time-management skills.

- Skill in effective communication, both orally and in writing.
