Role Description
This is an on-site paid internship role located in Port Charlotte, FL, for a Student Intern for the People Operations department. The Intern will assist in a variety of human resources tasks, such as supporting day-to-day administrative and project activities, participating in planning and organizing events, conducting research to support department initiatives, and assisting in maintaining documentation and records. The role may also include contributing to communication efforts, such as drafting and editing materials for public or internal use, under the supervision of experienced team members.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills including writing, editing, and the ability to convey information effectively
- Organizational and time management skills to assist in planning and executing projects or events
- Research and analytical skills for gathering and organizing information for departmental needs
- Proficiency with common office software including, but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite and basic knowledge of digital tools
- Positive attitude, ability to work collaboratively in a team, and willingness to learn
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program, or recent graduate
- Interest in public service, community support, or government operations is a plus
- Ability to work on-site in Port Charlotte, FL
Minimum Education and Experience:
· Must be actively enrolled and attending accredited college / university
· Introductory courses for their area of study

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Working Conditions: Work is primarily performed in an indoor, climate-controlled environment and is nearly absent from disagreeable elements (e.g., irate customers, extreme noise, heat, odors, heights and/or dust).
Risk/Safety Conditions: There is little or no risk related to physical and/or mental health and safety associated with this position.
Physical Activities: Walking, sitting, hearing, seeing up close, talking, standing, finger movement, repetitive motions. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
