The HR Manager is responsible for successfully delivering a positive employee experience through all aspects of HR including payroll, recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and employee relations.
- Represent the company culture in all employee interactions, contributing to a joyous and highly effective company culture.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for all HR matters; administer, coordinate, and support all HR programs and initiatives across the company
- Utilizes Paycom HRIS and various technical platforms to administer programs and support employees and leaders
- Manage payroll processes using Paycom and ensure accuracy in all payroll transactions.
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of employee work schedules in Paycom.
- Drive talent acquisition and onboarding for the company, including posting jobs, reviewing resumes, and conducting interviews. conducting background checks, onboarding, etc. .
- Lead employee recognition and engagement initiatives to aid in building a committed and knowledgeable workforce.
- Assist leaders and supervisors in employee relations matters and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
The incumbent will also support and partner with our School Chess Program, Academy Program and Marketing team to help implement and administer key company events and activities.
Seeking a highly motivated self-starter with the independent judgment and organizational skills.
Must be able to skillfully plan, prioritize, and execute a results-driven, diversified workload with competing priorities.
Must be extremely detail oriented with the ability to exercise the utmost care in handling confidential information.
Excellent written and verbal communication skill are key.
Trust, accuracy, and ability to multitask are important.
This is a hybrid, full-time position.
Typical work hours 8am-5pm, including a few hours on occasional weekends.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) in Human Resources Management or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Minimum of four years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Specialist with proficiency in payroll administration, talent acquisition, HRIS, scheduling and employee engagement.
Knowledge of HR practices, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, coaching and performance management.
Proficiency processing payroll, preferably in Paycom.
Experience with leading employee engagement initiatives.
Knowledge of employment law and regulations through education and/or experience
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to identify and resolve matters based on facts and using sound judgment.
Able to work weekdays, 8am-5pm with occasional evening and weekend hours.
Must have reliable transportation for worksite visits in the greater Charlotte area.
