Position Summary:
The Charlotte Checkers are looking for a high-energy, results-driven Account Executive to help build and engage our fan base in the Charlotte region. As a key member of our sales team, you will generate excitement and drive revenue by selling full and partial season ticket packages, group outings, and partnerships to individuals and businesses. This role also includes servicing current ticket holders and ensuring their experience exceeds expectations.
In addition to representing the Charlotte Checkers, the selected candidate will also be responsible for generating revenue across Zawyer Sports’ portfolio of properties in the Charlotte region. This is a unique opportunity to work across multiple brands and industries, all while playing a key role in shaping the future of sports and entertainment in the Carolinas.

Key Responsibilities:
Make 50 outbound contacts daily via phone, email, text, and in-person to sell:
- Full and partial season ticket packages
- Group tickets
- Individual game tickets
- Entry-level corporate partnerships
- Handle inbound calls and inquiries for ticket sales and customer service.
- Actively prospect new business through networking, referrals, social platforms, and research.
- Conduct in-person sales presentations, arena tours, and off-site appointments.
- Staff sales tables and community events to promote ticket packages and drive leads.
- Maintain detailed records of all interactions using CRM software.
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly individual sales goals.
- Assist in the renewal process and servicing of existing accounts.
- Build lasting relationships with clients through exceptional service and communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- A passion for the sports industry and a strong desire to grow professionally.
- Willingness to learn, be coached, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Game & Event Responsibilities:
- Expected to attend and work all Charlotte Checkers and UpShot Charlotte (start date May, 2026) home games (approx. 50 annually).
- Interact with clients and prospects at games via seat visits, networking, and sales tables.
- Assist with the development and execution of in-game promotions and fan experiences.
