Full-time
- Assists in the operation and maintenance of the SHARE Spot drop-in center.
- Engage members in conversation and support.
- Assist in development and provision of groups, explaining the purpose and activities.
- Provide support in the planning, coordinating, and implementation of an activities program to meet the diverse need of the members.
- Ensure a non-judgmental, supportive atmosphere is maintained for all.
- Conveys hope to members about their own recovery.
- Recognizes when to share experiences and when to listen to members.
- Supports members to set goals and to dream of future possibilities.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Peer Support Specialist certification or ability to become certified within one (1) year of employment.
- Ability to pass a level II Background clearance and drug test.
- Valid FL drivers' license, insurance, and safe driving record.
- CBHC New Hire Orientation (NHO) completed within first two (2) months of employment.
- Must maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct, while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
- Ability to use a computer.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in collaboration with other community partners.
- Ability to manage stressful situations and display appropriate work demeanor and boundaries.
