CBHC is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to support the accurate, timely, and compliant management of patient health records in a behavioral health setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Process medical record requests and ensure compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and other confidentiality standards.
- Manage incoming records.
- Coordinate with providers and external agencies to support continuity of care.
- Identify and resolve record deficiencies.
- Support audits and ensure records are accurate and complete.

Must meet eligibility requirements
- 403b Retirement Plan, with 9% employer contribution for those who meet eligibility requirements.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in medical records, health information management, or behavioral health setting.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 required or must be obtained within a defined timeframe.
- Ability to pass a level II Background clearance and drug test.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with EHR systems preferred.
