What are the responsibilities and job description for the Voice/Piano Instructor position at Charlotte Academy of Music?

Overview:
We are seeking dynamic, dedicated Vocal Instructors, preferably that have proficiency in teaching Piano as well, to join our faculty at Charlotte Academy of Music.
Responsibilities:
- Provide vocal/piano lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students, inspiring a love for music
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to each student's needs and goals
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Communicate regularly with each student's parents/guardians to communicate about progress and goals
- If proficient in other instruments, offer lessons in those areas.
Other teaching opportunities such as workshops, master classes, and summer camps are offered to CAM faculty members throughout the year.
Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Music or related field, or equivalent experience in teaching
- Proficiency in vocal instruction with a strong understanding of music theory and how to prepare students to concerts and auditions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
A minimum daily teaching schedule of at least 5 afterschool hours and commitment to at least 12 months is required. Many of our instructors teach 5 hours and several days per week. This position is flexible allowing for 1-3 teaching days, dependent upon the availability of the instructor.
