Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all store activities, including sales, customer service, inventory control, and staff management to ensure smooth operations.
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members while providing ongoing training and development to enhance their skills.
- Manage payroll, cash handling, bookkeeping, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to maintain accurate financial records.
- Oversee purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, merchandising, and inventory management to optimize stock levels and sales performance.
- Implement marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
- Supervise shift schedules, monitor employee performance, and foster a collaborative team environment focused on achieving sales targets.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and store standards while maintaining excellent customer service through effective communication skills.
Requirements
- Proven management experience in retail sales or store management roles with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks such as budgeting, inventory control, and staff scheduling efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
- Demonstrated proficiency in retail math, pricing strategies, POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures.
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training & development programs.
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques, inventory management tools, purchasing processes, and marketing strategies.
- Leadership qualities with previous assistant manager or supervisory experience; capable of motivating teams toward shared goals.
- Ability to perform administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and payroll processing accurately.
