Charleston, SC – The Marketing Project Manager specializes in planning, managing and executing projects relating to marketing action plans for the current Charlestowne Hotels’ portfolio. As a part of the Marketing team, the Marketing Project Manager will drive collaboration, workflow, deliverables and successful execution of integrated marketing tactics in coordination with core team members and vendors.
Directives:
- Oversight, project management, and execution of property marketing action plans
- Execute and manage planned and reactive needs, job requests, and marketing tactics through project management system
- Support Marketing Managers in the overall marketing satisfaction and success of each hotel
- Oversees deliverables from digital agency
- Oversees print and promotional creation and execution
- Manage design, setup, and deployment of email marketing campaigns
- Development, execution and analysis of automated email campaigns
- Manage property databases
Responsibilities:
- Pro-active communication and management with Marketing Strategy Manager, Creative Manager, Revenue Manager, General Managers, and vendors to ensure all pertinent information is available to complete project requests
- Manage day-to-day trafficking and workflow for all creative, email, web and marketing services projects
- Route layouts, copy, proofs, and other project elements for approval; confirm delivery of approved art files to all outside vendors
- Interpret and then assist in implementing the strategies outlined in the campaign plan created by the Marketing Strategy Manager
- Coordinate scheduling and workflow for jobs utilizing project management software
- Maintain project flow, proactively alerting stakeholders of upcoming project milestones and required deliverables
- Actively reinforce workflow processes and procedures as needed to drive department efficiencies for on time delivery of marketing assets against deadlines
- Review all job requests and execute, or distribute to appropriate vendor for completion
- Handle special projects that may be assigned outside the scope of daily work
- Assist in the preparation of monthly marketing reports

- Possess the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing client objectives
- Technical proficiency and understanding of marketing platforms and related tools such as but not limited to: CRM, CMS, analytics, paid media, social media, and email marketing
- Experience with project management software
- Understanding of HTML
- Experience in Google Apps
- General knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite
- Creative eye for design and design consistency

Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, project management, hospitality or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years related experience to marketing
- Travel and hospitality industry experience preferred but not required
