Charleston Southern University invites applications for an Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor of Public Health beginning January 1, 2026.

Responsibilities
Teach the equivalent of 12 credit hours per major academic semester in the Public Health major in the College of Health Sciences. The candidate should be broadly trained in the public health discipline.
Additional responsibilities include tasks such as student advisement, serving on university committees, research and scholarship, etc.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: Master of Public Health, Community Health, Health Promotion, or similar related field or a health-related Master of Science degree with relevant public health work experience.
Preferred Requirements: Ph.D. in related discipline, Doctor of Health Sciences, Doctor of Public Health, or terminal degree in health science related field combined with a Master of Public Health. Previous teaching experience at the college level. Professional certifications such as CPH, CHES, MCHES, CPHA, CERC, CPAPHS, or CCHP. Graduate coursework in population health, epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental health, health program planning and evaluation, health communication, nutrition, health theories and/or research methods.
