Charleston RehabNursing is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This is a great opportunity to provide hands-on care in a skilled nursing and post-acute setting while helping residents regain mobility, independence, and confidence.
Position Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist residents in improving strength, balance, mobility, endurance, and functional independence
- Monitor resident progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate residents and caregivers on exercises, safety techniques, and mobility strategies
- Accurately document treatment sessions in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with PTs, OTs, SLPs, nursing staff, and physicians to deliver coordinated, resident-centered care

Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license required
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience is preferred but not required
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
