Job Title: Full time Builder Account Manager / Outside Builder Sales Representative
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (possible Saturday) TBD
Pay & Benefits: $50,000 annually / Health Insurance, including Dental & Vision / 401k / Life / Accident
Commissions: 8% of personal gross profit (net sale minus cost), paid monthly
Position Summary:
The Builder Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with residential builders, contractors, and developer partners. This position focuses on generating sales growth through business development, builder account management, project coordination, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will work closely with builders, purchasing agents, project managers, and homeowners to ensure timely product selection, quoting, ordering, and delivery for new construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with production and custom home builders, contractors, and developers.
• Actively pursue new builder partnerships and business opportunities within assigned territories.
• Conduct regular visits to builder offices, job sites, model homes, and industry events.
• Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and profitability goals.
• Prepare accurate quotations, specifications, and product proposals for builder projects.
• Work closely with purchasing, customer service, warehouse, and showroom teams
• Monitor schedules and communicate delivery timelines, and potential issues proactively.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally while maintaining positive builder relationships.
• Stay knowledgeable about product offerings, industry trends, and competitive products.
Requirements:
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Construction Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of sales experience preferred.
• Experience working with residential builders, contractors, construction suppliers, lighting, home interiors, or building products strongly preferred.
Skills:
• Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read plans, specifications, and construction schedules is preferred.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
