What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant I - Temporary - DAODAS position at Charleston County Government?
This position will be responsible for responding to HIPAA compliant records requests and documenting requests in the patient record. Also, this position will be a liaison between the County Legal Department and program staff in responding to subpoenas and court orders as they relate to patient records. Knowledge of HIPAA and 42 C.F.R. strongly recommended. Prior medical records experience preferred.
Hiring Hourly: $15.41
This is a Temporary position, and no benefits are associated with it.
Continuation of employment in this position is contingent upon availability of funding from service, program and agency earnings.

High School diploma, supplemented with a year or more experience in medical records, or healthcare administrative assistant experience. Excellent computer skills a must, along with excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. A valid SC driver’s license or identification is required.
