Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install windows and doors according to specifications.
- Measure openings precisely using dimensional measurement tools to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Handle glass materials safely, including cutting, fitting, and installing glass panels within frames.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly, fabrication, and installation tasks.
- Install window frames, door frames, trim carpentry, metal studs, and fixtures with attention to detail.
- Perform caulking, sealing, and finishing work to ensure weatherproofing and aesthetic quality.
- Conduct quality control checks during installation to verify measurements, fitment, and overall craftsmanship.
- Assist with remodeling projects by fabricating components or modifying existing structures as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols on construction sites.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while adhering to all safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, window installation, door hanging, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, caulking techniques, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and fixture installation.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings such as schematics and construction plans accurately.
- Experience handling glass materials safely during fabrication and installation processes.
- Familiarity with measurement techniques for quality control purposes in construction projects.
- Prior construction site experience with a focus on remodeling or manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Basic handyman skills including painting and general repairs are a plus.
- Physical ability for heavy lifting, climbing ladders or scaffolding, and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills to ensure precise installations.
