Materials Expeditor
We are a build-to-print electrical control panel shop servicing the nuclear power industry. We are looking for a Materials Expeditor to own the materials process from purchase order through material issue.
This role includes:
- Selecting vendors and issuing purchase orders from a bill of material or specification
- Physically receiving , identifying, and inventorying materials
- Tracking materials and reporting on their status throughout the entire process
- Setting up an inventory system to ensure all materials are physically organized and clearly identified
- Establishing reorder points and quantities for any stock items
- Communicating with vendors, coworkers, and customers concerning materials
- Occasionally packaging materials for shipment
- Other relevant tasks assigned by management
Requirements
- Previous experience managing materials as described in the role
- Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Ideal candidate will have good organization & communication skills as well as basic business acumen
This is not exclusively an office job -- must be comfortable working in a light factory setting
Normal work week is Monday through Friday on-site.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
