Charles Taylor is a highly successful global provider of professional services to the insurance industry. We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our Brookfield, WI team. This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence on select days.
Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant position is responsible for supporting the underwriting department.
Essential Functions
- Reports on Workers Compensation Unit Stats to the State of WI
- Workers Compensation policy reporting to WCRB
- Issues Certificate of Insurance for various policyholders and maintains program schedules
- Reviews spreadsheets and requests renewal information as needed
- Policy Issuance, endorsements and various reporting functions
- Review of proposals and policies for account managers
- Assisting with and preparing various reports and templates
- Maintains appropriate electronic copies of all files and correspondence related to the coverages for multiple programs, per the necessary record retention period
- Preparing and maintaining client information and reports as needed within the Underwriting System (Origami)
- Performs other duties as assigned by your Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Proficient in entire Microsoft Office suite, including mid to advanced level Excel working knowledge
- Customer service orientation
- High degree of accuracy
- Time Management skills and ability to prioritize job tasks to meet deadlines
- Strong Organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to work with other team members to assist with projects as needed
- Exhibits strong attention to detail and understand its importance to the business
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn functionality of new equipment and systems
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changes within the various workflow processes of the dept.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- High School Education
- 1-3 years of administrative experience, commercial insurance experience a plus
