Interior Design Internship
Remote in San Diego | Summer 2026 | Flexible Start Date
Charles Taylor Home specializes in crafting personalized, breathtaking interiors for clients throughout San Diego County and beyond. We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Interior Design Intern to join our growing design team. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience working on active design projects while building your portfolio and industry knowledge. Applicants must reside in San Diego, CA and have reliable transportation.
What You’ll Do
Assist with a variety of interior design and drafting tasks, including:
- Floor plans, elevations, and furniture layouts
- Mood boards and client presentations
- Finish, material, and furniture sourcing
- Construction drawing support
- Renderings and design documentation
- Product research and vendor coordination
- Digital organization and studio support
Software & Skills
Experience in any of the following is a plus:
- AutoCAD
- Revit
- SketchUp
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Google Workspace
Internship Details
- Must reside in San Diego, CA and have reliable transportation
- Fully remote with flexible hours
- Approximately 15-25 hours per week
- Weekly team check-ins
- Occasional opportunities for:
- Job site visits
- Client meetings
- Project presentations
