Wellness Attendant
Supervisor: Wellness and Aquatics Coordinator
Pay Rate: $15.50
Hours: Part Time, Variable Hours

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Instructing and Leading:
Teach and oversee water aerobics classes, demonstrating exercises, and provide modifications for different fitness levels.
Safety Monitoring:
Ensure the safety of participants during classes and open swim sessions and remain prepared to respond to emergencies.
Member Service:
Address questions, provide information about the program, and build rapport with participants. Answer and return phone calls and schedule members.
Facility Maintenance:
Keep locker rooms, pool deck, and gym areas clean and organized. Vacuum pools, clean equipment, set-up and remove exercise equipment for use in the pool. Complete daily checklist.
Team Roles:
Support your team with tasks and cover shifts as needed. Uphold shift responsibilities and refrain from phone use, reading, or unnecessary chatting while on duty. Remain reliable, ready, and punctual for work shift.
Perform all duties assigned by the Director of Clinical Services, Wellness and Aquatics Coordinator, or Team Lead to ensure the department operates as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
Qualifications,:
Ages 18 or older
Current CPR certification required.
Certification must be valid within the last year.
Experience in aquatic or gym setting preferred.

Possess a current ARC Professional Rescuer CPR Certificate of American Heart Association Course "C" CPR Certificate or NYS Department of Health accepted equivalent certificate. Certification period must not exceed one year. CNA preferred.
Be at least 18 years old with experience with aquatic environment and children.
