This is a senior business leadership role responsible for the strategy, evolution, and performance of Schwab’s core investment product offerings—ETFs, Mutual Funds, Fixed Income, and 529 plans. This role owns what Schwab offers clients and advisors and how those offerings show up across the platform.
You’ll define and deliver the strategic roadmap for Core Investment Products and Offers (ETFs, Mutual Funds, Fixed Income, 529 plans), lead complex cross functional work, partner with asset managers, and shape client and advisor experiences at scale. This is investment product ownership, not technology product management.

What You’ll Do
- Own the end-to-end strategy and roadmap for Schwab’s core investment products
- Lead cross functional delivery across Product, Research, Operations, Technology, Legal, Risk, and Compliance
- Partner closely with Investor Services and Adviser Services to improve client and advisor outcomes
- Identify market trends and client needs to drive product and platform enhancements
- Influence senior leaders through clear, data driven executive communication
- Drive initiatives from concept to launch with measurable results
- Build, lead, and develop a high performing investment product team
Required Qualifications
- 10 years leading investment products, offers, or platforms within financial services, with direct experience in ETFs, Mutual Funds, Fixed Income, or 529 plans
- 3 years in strategy consulting, investment product management, or offer management role
- Proven ownership of product strategy and delivery for complex, regulated offerings—beyond concept or advisory roles
- Direct people leadership experience, including building and managing multidisciplinary teams
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence decisions through concise storytelling and data backed recommendations
- Track record of operating effectively in matrixed, ambiguous environments and driving outcomes without direct authority
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Deep understanding of investment distribution models, platforms, and advisor workflows
- Experience partnering with asset managers or external product providers
- Strong analytical judgment and ability to simplify complex problems into clear decisions
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate experience
