This Medical Secretary position is in a busy 2 MD/3 NP family practice in Millis. Seeking a motivated Medical Secretary to join our dedicated clinical team. We are looking for an individual who brings a positive attitude, is a proactive self-starter, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position requires flexibility, strong multitasking abilities, and a calm, professional demeanor under pressure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear, professional communication. Should be comfortable cross training on medical assistant duties.
Schedule: Part-time, 24 hours per week

Requirements
- Answering and handling telephone calls from providers, patients, etc., including triaging calls appropriately
- Checking patients in and out for their appointments
- Scheduling appointments including making referral and ancillary appointments
- Supporting physicians in their day-to-day work schedule
- Processing requests for referrals and prescription refills
- Handling tasks such as collecting payments, registering patients in the electronic medical records system, copying and mailing medical records, confirming insurance eligibility, providing patient reminders, addressing no-show patients, among others
- Keep track of office and medical supplies
- Coordinating care with other offices as needed
- Assisting in medical tasks such as rooming patients, taking vitals, and performing EKGs if needed
- Answering patients' questions regarding billing, insurance issues, etc.
- Working as a team with other members of office to provide high quality patient care
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Office Manager
Salary : $22 - $26
