Job Summary
The Aquatic Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing swim lesson programming, staff development, and daily pool operations. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure high-quality instruction and a positive experience for all swimmers and families. The ideal candidate is passionate about aquatic education and team building and brings both initiative and professionalism to every aspect of program management.
Key ResponsibilitiesManagement
- Mentor and support swim lesson staff to foster a positive, mission-driven environment.
- Supervise staff performance and delegate tasks to ensure effective program delivery.
- Address performance or behavioral concerns and escalate as needed.
Teaching
- Teach swim lessons and substitute for instructors as necessary to maintain uninterrupted operations.
- Provide constructive feedback to parents during designated communication times.
- Deliver lessons using the established curriculum and collaborate on ongoing program enhancements.
- Assist with pool setup and breakdown when required.
Administrative
- Work closely with leadership to maximize pool usage, expand community outreach, and support program growth.
- Track and report student progress using current software system, ensuring appropriate adjustments for success.
- Coordinate with the Lessons Staff Coordinator to maintain full class coverage.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Current Lifeguard Certification, First Aid and CPR Certification
- Previous experience in aquatics programming, swim instruction or related field
- Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills

Schedule & Compensation
- Monday- Friday* (subject to change depending on needs)
- $65,000-$75,000 commensurate with experience
