Senior Drafting Technician – Full-Time (Annapolis Office)
Charles P. Johnson and Associates is seeking a detailed oriented, highly organized, tech-savvy Senior Drafting Technician who thrives on managing multiple deadlines to join our team in Annapolis, MD. This full-time position plays a key role in supporting our Engineers, Planners, and Designers by producing high-quality Civil Engineering drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D, National CAD Standards (NCS), and company-specific templates.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform conceptual designs from Engineers, Planners, and Designers into detailed, professional drawings.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure drafting requirements are met accurately and efficiently.
- Apply NCS or internal CAD standards and leverage Civil 3D tools to produce base sheets and finalized plans.
- Utilize advanced Civil 3D features including surfaces, labeling, corridors, alignments, profiles, points, and pipe networks.
Skills & Experience
- Preferred- 5 years of experience with AutoCAD
- Preferred- 3 years of experience with Civil 3D
- Preferred- 3 years of experience in Land Development and/or Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret Civil Engineering plans, including grading and contour details.
- Skilled in precise drafting techniques and visual presentation of drawings.
- Strong attention to detail, organized, tech-savvy, and capable of managing multiple deadlines.
