Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport and deliver materials across various job sites and routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and efficient cargo handling will ensure timely deliveries and smooth operations. Duties
- Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently on over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Load, unload, and secure various types of cargo, including freight, following all safety protocols.
- Navigate using GPS systems to ensure accurate delivery routes while maintaining punctuality.
- Transport different types of trailers such as flatbeds, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers as required for specific deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo details, route information, and delivery documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on dump trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the type of vehicle operated (e.g., hazmat, tanker).
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, and DOT rules,
- Experience with route driving using GPS navigation systems in diverse environments.
- Familiarity with truck loading/unloading procedures for freight, flatbed loads, or roll-off containers.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience preferred
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks related to cargo handling and vehicle inspections regularly.
