Bonds various materials, including composites and laminate, together to create parts, prototypes, or products. Operates measuring tools, cutting tools, and various other equipment to bind, laminate, cut, vacuum-bag, cure, smooth, and perform other operations on composite material.

- Cut glass template for products following and reviewing instructions, documentation, engineering models and drawings.
- Follow the laminate schedule and load the fiberglass properly into the mold.
- Apply vacuum bag and check for leaks to ensure quality parts.
- Use basic hand tools to release parts from molds and stages for trimming.
- Accurately use mold release and apply properly to mold surface.
- Use pneumatic power tools to trim parts to the appropriate dimensions.
- Performs basic finishing and assembly functions.
- Follows shop orders and verifies correct accessories are attached to the products.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety procedures and operating processes and procedures.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, and volume.
- Define problems and troubleshoot situations using strong conceptual thinking abilities.
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment and mechanical equipment and tools.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Efficient time management skills.
- Previous manufacturing or relevant work experience is preferred.

Charles Industries weight rule: 35 lbs. and under can be lifted alone. 35 - 50 lbs. can be lifted by one person if they feel comfortable doing so. 50 lbs. or more requires the employee to get assistance or use a lifting device. (i.e. pallet jack, forklift, scissor table, buddy system).

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often exposed to high temperatures, occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. Noise level is usually moderate to loud.
