The Assembly Operator A assembles, labels, and prepares parts for shipping.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Assemble and label parts.
- Prepare parts for venting.
- Assemble brackets.
- Deburr and de-flash parts.
- Package and prepare orders for shipping.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, bill of materials, and assembly drawings.
- Ability to use small electric tools such as drills, nut drivers, and cutters.
- Ability to read tape measures.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- A high school diploma or general education (GED) is preferred.
- Up to one year of related experience and/or training.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. - The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up 35-50 pounds. Charles Industries weight rule: 35 lbs. and under can be lifted alone. 35 - 50 lbs. can be lifted by one person if they feel comfortable doing so. 50 lbs. or more requires the employee to get assistance or use a lifting device. (i.e. pallet jack, forklift, scissor table, buddy system).
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

- The employee regularly works near moving, vibrating mechanical equipment, occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and exposed to minimal risk of electrical shock.
- Noise level is usually loud; hearing protection and testing are required. PPE required.

- Working in the Fab department may require employee to occasionally work around chemicals as defined in the work instruction for the plating operation area.The noise level is usually loud.
