The purpose of the position is to provide comprehensive administrative, operational, and programmatic support that enhances coordination, efficiency, and quality of patient care.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. Responsibilities:
Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:- Performance measure monitoring/performance improvement methods. Review and application of problem identified in reports data analysis.
- Understand data analysis and implementing measures for resolution.
- Data analysis of provider workload/Encounters. Identifying errors in encounters and identifying employee to review.
- Provides expertise for the implementation of improved clinic utilization, monitoring of consults, facilitation of scheduling of appointments for outpatient visits and procedures, and completion of encounters and other documents necessary for completion and crediting of these services.
- Performance reports to evaluate employees, to set proper facility and departmental goals.
- OPPE/FPPE process to include privilege assessments of current work, review of comparable staff members for proper auditing, and form management for proper documentation.
- Timekeeper: Validation of time cards, and guidance on payroll concerns and questions.
- These duties include communication with the supervisor and employee for proper time card allocations and submissions of the proper leave types.
- Maintenance of comprehensive procedures manuals for MSDS.
- Monthly DSS Labor Mapping.
- Planning, developing, and monitoring the new employee orientation program, including following up on completion of orientation and assessing ongoing training needs.
- Lean Concepts and assists Operations Manager with projects.
- Responsible for support of Clinical Systems Redesign Efforts working closely with the Operations Manager, Chief of Medicine, and Section Chiefs to ensure continuity of project objectives.
- Training and educating employees on proper protocols and procedures for reporting issues.
- Assists the Operations Manager with budget development and monitoring of fund control points maintained by the Chief of Medicine's Office.
- Vendor Software Troubleshooting/ADPAC duties: ADPAC duties include trouble shooting VA equipment and identifying issues.
- Responsible for assisting with the communication of the employee, BIOMED, and vendor software to apply troubleshooting support.
