Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)
Part-time: 10 hours per week, flexible schedule
Seaford, NY

In this position, you will:
- Provide case management, substance abuse counseling, and advocacy services
- Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team to facilitate the client recovery and rehabilitation processes
- Develops educational topics and facilitates group counseling
- Maintain case records, updates treatment plans, writes progress notes and psychosocial histories
We require:
- Must be certified by NYS OASAS as a CASAC
- Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in a related field
- At least 1 year of experience working with chemical dependency and/or mental health experience required including group experience
- Maintains yearly educational requirements for timely renewal of OASAS credential
- Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written
