The Charles City Fire Department is seeking dedicated, community-minded individuals to join our team as Volunteer Firefighters. This positions offers unparalleled training, camaraderie, and the opportunity to provide critical fire suppression and emergency response service to the community.
As a volunteer firefighter, you will receive specialized training to handle fire suppression, rescue operations, and hazardous materials incidents.
You will participate in challenging situations that require both physical stamina and mental toughness
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED equivalent. Must be 18 years old or older at the time of employment Must possess or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid State driver’s license No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal histories within the past seven years.
Special Requirements
Ability to achieve Firefighter I and HazMat Operations level training, and CPR certifications within the set probationary period. Attend monthly training & meetings at 7pm on the second and last Monday of each month
