Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and tire replacements with precision and care
- Conduct vehicle alignments and basic mechanical repairs using hand tools and power tools
- Diagnose automotive issues utilizing diagnostic equipment and mechanical knowledge
- Assist with vehicle inspections, fluid checks, and other routine maintenance tasks
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure all tools are properly stored after use
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and addressing customer questions
- Support sales efforts by recommending additional maintenance or repair services as appropriate
- Lift heavy tires and equipment safely to prevent injury during service procedures
Qualifications
- Prior experience in automotive repair or dealership service preferred
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and vehicle maintenance
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong understanding of tire service, oil changes, alignments, and general vehicle upkeep
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a physically demanding environment
- Mechanical aptitude with a focus on safety, quality workmanship, and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license required; valid automotive technician certification is a plus
