As a Social Media Intern, you will:
- Schedule social media content using Hootsuite, with a focus on accuracy, timing and consistency
- Design and maintain social media graphic templates for various platforms
- Create daily social media graphics, banners and post assets
- Assist with drafting and publishing social media posts across channels
- Support content creation in-person at our DC office
- Lead TikTok engagement and strategy, including trend monitoring and content ideation
- Conduct ongoing content and trend research to inform platform-specific strategies
- Support LinkedIn ghostwriting for employee base, including content organization and optimization
- Update and maintain the content tracker in Monday.com (blogs, podcasts, reports)
- Assist with the Social Snapshot, including pulling and organizing analytics
- Help review and manage page followings
The ideal candidate brings
- Strong interest in social media, content creation and digital marketing
- Familiarity with platforms like Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn
- Basic design skills (Canva or similar tools preferred)
- An organized, detail-oriented and comfortable approach to managing multiple projects
- A curious, collaborative and eager attitude
- A proactive and creative mindset and is comfortable bringing new ideas to the table
- Strong written communication skills
- Comfort working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Must be local to the DC area and available to work in-office to support real-time content creation
