Machine Operator - 2nd shift

Charles & Alice is a leading producer and co-packer of applesauce and other natural fruit-based products. We are seeking a skilled and ambitious full-time Machine Operator to work second shift (3 pm to 11:30 pm Mon to Fri) for our food manufacturing plant in Lancaster, PA.

Machine Operators operate food processing and packaging equipment in part by using computer interfaces. Machine Operators operate several machines and are cross-trained to fulfill several roles in a team-focused environment. They also perform quality checks, troubleshoot equipment issues, and move materials using pallet jacks.

We are seeking candidates with prior machine operator experience, preferably in a food manufacturing industry. Candidates must:

· Have a high attention to detail;

· Possess basic math skills;

· Have an excellent attendance record;

· Be able to read, write, and understand English;

· Be available to work any shift and be flexible with the schedule;

· Be able to work in hot and cold environments;

· Be able to stand for most of the shift; and

· Be able to bend, lift, push, and pull up to 60 pounds.

Machine Operators start at a base pay rate of $22.95 per hour plus any additional shift premiums where applicable ($2.00 per hour on 3rd shift).
